Here's the weekend sermon in 10 Tweets, "Where's the Glory?," Galatians 1:10-24 (Series: Inside Out: Galatians) Against the Stream... 1// We don't recognize the gospel in the context of the D to Z of the Christian life.

// People pleasing is incompatible with serving Christ.

// Pleasing God is not a license to displease people--to offend, to be inconsiderate, to be disagreeable.

// Paul cared what people thought of him for the right reason--to win others to Christ.

// Paul: "For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them." 1 Cor 9:19

// No one in the NT is accused of being a people-pleaser more than Paul and Jesus. The gospel makes the religious uncomfortable.

// People pleasing can be manipulative or it can be the disease to please.

// You have been approved by God in Christ. Gal 3:26-27...you have been clothed in Christ

// Tell you story: keep it short & relevant, your story's not boring (2 Cor 2:4-6), God overrules your worst intentions. Gal 1:23-24

// Where's God's glory in your story? His glory shines in the places of transformation.
