The Retreat

A little known ministry at Five Oaks is "The Retreat." The Retreat is a ministry for children who have special needs that make it challenging to fully participate in the Treehouse classrooms.  At the Retreat, lessons are tailored to connect kids with God's love in tangible ways.  Playing with shaving cream, aligning magnet messages on the board, dancing and singing to Veggie Tales, and creating projects highlighting bible messages are some of the ways these students connect with the staff.  It's an invaluable ministry for parents who advocate for their special need's kids on a daily basis.  The Retreat allows parents to worship fully, knowing that their kids are in a place where they are accepted for the amazing kids that they are!
