"Henry Who Could"
David and Melissa Gafford wrote a song for Leadership Community to the tune of "Johnny Be Good." Caught me by surprise. The band did a great job with it and Jonathan put together a bunch of pictures that went with the song (most from Facebook). Everybody love it. So here is "Henry Who Could":
Lived a Cuban boy let me tell you miss,
There stood an old farmhouse make of Oaken wood,
on the property of young Henry who could.
that boy tore it down so he could speak to the town,
and he built this big ol' building while people came 'round
Go, go, go! Go, Henry Go, Go!
Go, Henry Go, Go!
Go, Henry Go, Go!
Go, Henry Go, Go!
Henry who could.
He used to carry his Bible in a gunny sack
Or sit beneath the tree by the railroad track
Oh an engineer could see him sitting in the shade
Prayin' to the rhythm that the drivers made
People passin' by they'd stop and say
Oh my but that little Cuban boy can pray
Go, go, go! Go, Henry Go, Go!
Go, Henry Go, Go!
Go, Henry Go, Go!
Go, Henry Go, Go!
Henry who could.
His mother told him some day you will be alright
and you will be the leader of a multi-site
many people coming from miles around
and hear you preach your message till the sun goes down
maybe someday soon we'll end a service on time
and i'm using this here cause' I can't think of a rhyme...
Go, go, go! Go, Henry Go, Go!
Go, Henry Go, Go!
Go, Henry Go, Go!
Go, Henry Go, Go!
Henry who could.
