Deep Down Happy Feelings — Henry Williams

We had our monthly Elders meeting tonight. Our church is kind of weird in that we have Elders and a governing board. No, the governing board doesn't function as trustees. To get our system, take what most churches expect their one governing board/elders to do and split it and you have our system. Kind of crazy, but it has worked well for us.

Anyway, as we were having some discussions on some interesting issues, I was filled with a great sense of deep appreciation for the Elders and deep down happy feelings. They get it. They get our mission and ministry philosophy. They're super encouraging to me. They love and care about the church members and they care about our mission field. I was sitting their thinking about how blessed our church is and how blessed I am as a senior pastor.
