Telling a Boring Story

I can feel the frustration mount in a lot of Christians when they hear once again, “Sharing your faith is simply telling your story.”

That’s a great idea if you come to faith out of a crisis or addiction or broken relationship. There’s plot and conflict and characters in a story like that that makes it interesting.

But what if your story is, “I don’t remember a time when I didn’t follow Christ because I put my faith in him at a really young age”?

In this weekend’s sermon I’m going to show you how even that story can be dramatic and compelling.

How? By telling God’s story as your story.

I’ll show you at least a couple of ways you can do this.

In some senses, it can be a more effective way of sharing the gospel than some of the most dramatic faith stories you’ve heard.

I hope to see you this weekend in person or online.
