How to Impact the Next Generation with Your Limited Time

“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” (Psalm 90:12)

Teach us to number our days is a way of saying, “Teach us to realize how short our life really is so that we live smarter, better lives.”

Of course, realizing just how short life really is can lead to depression or to an all-out pursuit of pleasure or power.

But not within the context of the story of Psalm 90 and the Story of God.

In that context we see numbering our days will help us gain a heart of wisdom.

Do you want a heart of wisdom? I do!

And in this Psalm and verse we can see clear, practical, and profound ways we can better influence the next generation to love God and follow him wholeheartedly.
