This is Us

We are the church, whether we are gathered or scattered--each one of us, a part of the body of Christ, wherever we go, whatever we do.

So, where can you find us, and what are we doing?

Several Five Oaks families hosted University of MN students for Easter through the ministry of the  Hospitality Center for Chinese students. Dan Ellingson (back right of picture) writes: "We had a great time hosting a mother, her son, and their roommate. For our meal, we went traditional Americana with ham, sweet potatoes, veggies, but added in some homemade lefse so we could share our Norwegian heritage as well. We have gotten to know them more, and they even came to our service on Easter. This was the first time they had been to a church, and they said it was different then they had seen on TV. They loved our worship! Afterward, we had some good discussions about what church and God mean to us as Christians. Now tonight we got to see them again at the HCC friendship meal. They really seem to appreciate getting to learn more about American culture and also love to practice their English with us.
