Hearts & Hammers
Here's Scott Halverson's note to everyone who participated in Hearts & Hammers on Saturday. Scott and his team have led this effort through Journeymen for three years.
Thanks to all of you that were able to make it on Saturday to bless the life of Verna Biermaier. 62 of you came out, ironically the same number as last year. With your work we were able to do a complete home makeover including repainting the entire house, garage and shed, re-landscape around the house and the garage, and complete several carpentry projects. Verna has lived in her house for 52 years and in her words she's not ready to go the high rise yet. High rise is her word for senior housing. Her husband passed away 6 years ago and she doesn't drive. Her son and two daughters were able to join us on Saturday.
I love what was accomplished for Verna. But looking through the pictures of the volunteers, I know there are many other stories people can tell. What a great way to connect together while impacting the world for Christ!
