10 Tweets
Here's last weekend's sermon in 10 Tweets, "Scattered," Acts 8–11:
1/ We are the church when we gather; you are the church when we scatter.
2/ When you share the gospel, share what they need to know, not all you know.
3/ Creation...Separation...Salvation...New Creation...
4/ Ed Stetzer: “Somewhere along the way, people confused the "role" of evangelist (Eph. 4:11) with the ‘gift’ of evangelism."
5/ You don’t need a gifting. You get to go into divine appointments with divine authority and divine assistance.
6/ People drawn to you. Include them. …share their pain. Invest. …show an interest. Invite.
7/ God prompts you to talk to them. Show interest in them. …excluded. Involve. Hostile. Intercede.
8/ To share the gospel you need words, but words alone won't work.
9/ When we scatter, we need to take the initiative. Don't wait for the church to organize a food drive or mission trip.
10/ "In an instant, my prayer changed. Now I want all those things I wanted for myself, for her."
