Five Oaks Survival Manual - True Compassion

When Jesus reached out compassionately to people in need, you could count on his ministry being personal, spiritual and empowering. That's why we encourage our congregation to do more than give money to help people in need. We mobilize our people for action.

The most compassionate thing we can do is to provide tangible help with a hand up, point people to Christ (what can be more important than redemption) and personally touch the lives of those we help (personal help not only brings encouragement and accountability, it transforms the heart and perspective of the helper).
