Latest Word from Yves Prophete in Haiti
Here is an email GVCM sent out around midnight.
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I was relieved earlier this afternoon when I was finally able to talk with Pastor Yves on Skype. It was good to hear his voice and get an update on what is happening. He spoke of issues that he has faced and some positive stories too.
He spoke of GVCM’s biggest need for food, medication and gasoline. The food supply in Fedja is running low and we are having problems finding more. Our need for medication is great also. A nurse is on her way there now to help with medical attention and taking supplies. Gasoline is very hard to find and the prices are already soaring.
Yves also asked for prayer for protection. There is no law or order anywhere and places are getting very perilous. As he travels to Port-au-Prince he said at this point nothing will surprise him and he says it continues to become dangerous. Many people from PAP are flooding to Mirebalais and it is now overflowing with people with no place to stay.
He said he knows you are all praying for him, GVCM and the whole situation. Know that your prayers are being felt. He asked for you all to pray without ceasing.
I ask that you continue to share GVCM with your friends and family. Continue to pray for the children in Feja, our staff, their families and the whole situation. Please prayerful consider donating to GVCM. Visit GVCM to donate online.
Many Blessings,
Tyler Wright
