Identity: Able to Triumph Over Sin

Here's a part of my prayer today based on Romans 5:17-18 (today's reading):

Sin is so powerful. I see it's effects every day in our world and in my life. But even more powerful is your grace and your gift of righteousness. Every time I think that sin is more powerful than you, I've bought a lie. Every time...I think, "I can't help it," it's simply not true. You are my power and my righteousness. I don't have to sin. Sin has no power over me. I can live in triumph over sin. I can defeat it's power in Jesus. In Jesus Christ. Help me remain in Jesus all day.
