Day Two: 21-Day Easter Challenge
"You saved the best for last." That's the phrase that hit me this morning in my listening to John 2. Here's an excerpt from my "email" to God:
"You saved the best for last." ...whatever our circumstances, you really are saving the best for last. The best I enjoy here is a mere shadow of what you have in store for me and for us. Please help me enjoy life without holding on to the shadows too tightly. Help me endure suffering of all kinds without losing hope. Help all those in our congregation who are right now facing financial and medical and emotional issues that so painful. Help them see the best is still to come. Give them hope. Help me live today with the future--your future and your kingdom--taking priority. Keep my thoughts and my actions centered on you.
