Christmas On Stage

Xmas1_2 Xmas2_2 Xmas3Xmas9 Six services over the weekend. I enjoyed every single one. That was Jonathan's first time on piano at Five Oaks (Jonathan is our Tech Coordinator). I look forward to hearing more. I loved the music, and the acting was first-rate in the drama. I'm so thankful for all the singers, musicians, techs, and actors who came out for all six. And many of the First Impressions folks served in multiple services. I love that dedication. It was also fun meeting some new people who had been invited by our church family.

The drama, "Mistaken Identity," was about a group of paid actors who are doing a nativity scene for a church. It's break time and they're in a warming house. They don't really get Christmas, but a little girl who comes in for autographs gets the actress playing Mary thinking and reflecting about what she's doing. Did it really happen? And, if it did, why? I loved the way the drama set things up for the message. Great choice Marcie.
