2/ Every weekend we experience a “handshake” of sorts. The handshake is the Lord’s Supper. It conveys a story.

3/ Meals that help convey the meaning of the Lord’s Supper. The first is the Garden Meal. That’s the punch in the face.

4/ The Passover Meal, the Last Supper, and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb all help convey the meaning.

5/ The meals fail to tell the whole story. The Garden meal was more than a punch. It unleashed evil. Requires justice.

6/ The story of 5 sacrifices: garden sacrifice, ram, lamb, 2 goats, the Lamb of God.

7/ It conveys the depths of God’s love (substitutionary atonement).

8/ It conveys God is not mad at you (propitiation).

9/ It conveys freedom from guilt (justification) and freedom to live for God (redemption).

10/ It conveys we get to live life not only for God but with God (reconciliation).
