First Impressions Weekly Update

Comments from the card we send first time guests:

  • I know I'm supposed to fill this out and base it on my 1st Impression, which I did. But today I attended again and left even more welcomed due to the fact that a lady named Vicky gladly welcomed me to the church after learning that it was only my second visit. She introduced me to another friend of hers after the service and also told me about the Tues. night Bible study - she really made me feel welcomed - it was appreciated!!
  • Thank the elders for praying for my close friend's heart surgery at Mayo. All went smoothly. I also asked that you pray for my daughter. A few days ago she was in a serious car wreck. Miraculously, she only suffered a broken wrist. I was very touched by receiving a note from R. Garcia that they fulfilled my prayer request.

First Impression Stats

In addition to the comments we receive on first impression cards we send to first-time guests, we also ask for a rating on three questions. Here's how we did since September on all cards that were returned.

  • I felt welcome when I visited Five Oaks Church: 4.34 (on a 5-point scale, 5 = agree strongly)
  • I felt that my child(ren) was/were well taken care of during our visit: 4.71
  • How likely is it that you would recommend Five Oaks to a friend or colleague? 8 (on a scale of 0=not likely at all, 5=Neutral, 10=Extremely Likely)

Statistically speaking this is very good on all three questions. Yes, every once in a while people fall through the cracks, but overall I want to commend our congregation for a job very well done reaching out to guests.
