This is Us

We are the church, whether we are gathered or scattered--each one of us, a part of the body of Christ, wherever we go, whatever we do.

So, where can you find us, and what are we doing?

Some Five Oaks gals are doing a book study on Jennie Allen’s book, Get Out of Your Head: Stopping the Spiral of Toxic Thoughts , through a private Facebook group. It’s not too late to join in. If you’d like to know how to join in, it’s not too late. Contact me or the office, and we’ll tell you how to join.

How to Pray Angry

In case you missed it, here’s the service and sermon from the weekend. In the sermon we look at the first chapter of a little known book by a prophet named Habakkuk. He prays angry. He models how to do it without losing faith in God and his goodness. Think about it: if we lose faith in God and his goodness, what are we left with? It’s a very timely book for what we’re going through right now.
