This is Us

We are the church, whether we are gathered or scattered--each one of us, a part of the body of Christ, wherever we go, whatever we do.

So, where can you find us, and what are we doing?

From Five Oaker Peg Benson (top center picture): “Our small group (led by Mike and Lisa Sahr) has been meeting together for the better part of 10 years — nobody knows exactly how many years. We’ve had families come and go, and we even multiplied when our group grew too large several years back. One thing that makes our group unique is that our kids, now mostly middle and high schoolers, have grown up coming to small group together and for the most part have continued to come to small group on Friday nights. We used to hire a couple of babysitters to "keep them all alive" in the basement, and now some of our teens babysit for other small groups at Five Oaks. Anyway, we had an impromptu Zoom small group on Friday night — complete with teens — and in the midst of quarantine, it should be no surprise that our attendance was higher than it otherwise would have been.  Here’s a screen shot of all of us before we broke into a kids’ room and an adults’ room.”

If you’d like to get into a small group, let me know. They’re all meeting online these days.

Men's Summit.jpg

Every year, our men's ministry, Journeymen, takes a weekend to invest in their relationship with Jesus and their brothers in Christ. This year all of our preaching team spoke into the area of manhood from a gospel perspective. This weekend has been a catalyst for so many men to be more engaged in their faith and worship God with every area of their life from marriage, parenting, work, and everything inbetween. Journeymen regularly meets every Saturday morning at 7am at Five Oaks Church.
