Moses Y. Lee on "7 Lies [Some] Christians in College Tell Themselves"

1. “I have to do what I feel is right or genuine.”

“God created us, in his image, to be both rational and emotional. But when either becomes ultimate, we are not conforming to his image. This is why the ultimate authority of feelings, emotion, and “authenticity” for young people today is problematic. Emotions have a place, but they can be fickle liars. What “feels right” in our heart can actually be deception (Jer. 17:9). What seems “authentic” or “genuine” is not necessarily a reliable source of wisdom. The sooner we learn to critically evaluate our feelings, rather than follow them indiscriminately, the better.”

This is Us (2 Stories)

We are the church, whether we are gathered or scattered--each one of us, a part of the body of Christ, wherever we go, whatever we do.

So, where can you find us, and what are we doing?

On May 5th and 19th we had many amazing individuals who came to help make decorations, big and small. Some came with their obvious artistic talent while others were only confident doing simple projects. Everyone was appreciated who came and gave of their time and talents. We are truly excited about VBS where kids will learn that Life is Wild and God is Good!

Last year and now this year again VBS is partnering with Chad Peterson and Teens for Christ to help make VBS the very best it can be. Chad serves multiple times a month in Children’s Ministry along with offering as much help as he possibly can for VBS. We are blessed to have so many individuals offer their time and talents. We can’t wait for another amazing VBS this year as well!
