The Weekend - “The Silence of God” (Luke 22:39-46)

We come to the end of the Journey to Easter series this weekend with a focus on Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Jesus experiences the silence of God in prayer in the Garden. It’s of a different “order” or quality than our experiences with God’s silence, but there’s still a ton we can learn from how he handles it.

Sometimes a “no” answer from God can feel like no answer from God. That might be at the core of our struggles with the silence of God. For many of us, it’s not that we won’t take “no” for an answer; it’s that so often we wonder if he has even listened to our pleas.

I'll also tell you a bit about our trip to Cuba. It was incredible.

Come this weekend, Palm Sunday, for worship, gathered with your brothers and sisters in Christ. Your presence makes a difference to so many people.
