One Church, Multiple Campuses (Part 2)

Here's our ministry DNA, what makes Five Oaks Five Oaks...what makes us tick...ten principles, practices, ministry philosophies that drive us...

  1. Purposeful: We bring lives to Christ and Christ to everyday life. It’s about the Great Commission—making more and better disciples.
  2. One Church with Multiple Campuses: We are one church (i.e., one budget, one governing board, one leadership) with multiple campuses. Some paid staff and leaders serve in both a “Central Support” role and in a campus role, but we work from one budget, under one governing board and as one congregation.
  3. Streamlined: We focus on doing only a few things so that we can do them well, stay aligned in our mission and not compete with ourselves.

More to come tomorrow.

One Church, Multiple Campuses (Part 1)

What does it mean for Five Oaks to be one church in multiple locations? Over the next few posts I hope to answer that basic question and answer a bunch of other questions we've received since opening our Hudson campus.

First, the short answer is that Five Oaks is one church with multiple campuses that is bringing lives to Christ and Christ to everyday life by strategically focusing on a few things and doing them well. How that shakes out is based on a number of principles, practices and ministry philosophies that drive Five Oaks and our multi-site strategy. These are our ministry DNA and I'll review these in the next few posts.
