Lois and I took my mom on one of the paddle wheel boats in Stillwater last Friday evening to celebrate my mom's birthday. What a beautiful night! We headed north on the river and had a delicious supper. The trip was two hours long and then we strolled downtown. I love Stillwater and I love the St. Croix. Sometimes I can hardly believe all this beauty is so close to home. My mom's doing her best imitation of Leonardo DiCaprio (or is it Kate Winslet?). 
Went for the second best tacos today at Our Lady of Guadalupe in St. Paul. Second best I've ever had. The first are on the way to the orphanage our youth work at every other year. Nothing touches those. But my second favorite is definitely at this church for Cinco de Mayo. This is my second year going with the Yanezes and some other friends. I should have taken some pictures. I get so excited about "great meals that I have to wait a year for" that I start shaking a bit right before eating. I was not disappointed and so happy I didn't overdo it this year. Stopped after three even though I wanted that fourth one.
