I'd like to add this to my answer to Q & A 21. While we don't sponsor any support groups at this time, there are some excellent support groups in the area. Crossroads in Cottage Grove, Woodbury Lutheran, Woodland Hills and Eagle Brook in Lino Lakes/White Bear seem to offer some great options and are relatively close. I'm sure there are other good choices in this area. Friends of mine especially recommend Celebrate Recovery at Eagle Brook.
Q: Why are there no support groups? I know there are small groups and I experienced the support that comes from small groups but what about small support groups for those in need? (Divorce, single, work transition/networking, chemical dependency, AA/Alanon, etc.)
A: It's just a matter of time. I think you'll notice a pattern in these questions. A lot of people want to know why we don't have this or that ministry. The general answer is that we try to do a few things well and that we'll be adding only a few more things along the way. This is almost certainly one of them.
